Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 August 2026
1. The service
SocialCast ("the tool") is a personal command-line tool that uploads video files to social platform accounts that the operator has connected. It runs on the operator's own computer. There is no hosted service, no user accounts and no sign-up.
2. Permitted use
The tool may only be used to upload content that the operator owns or has the right to distribute, and only to accounts the operator controls or has been authorised to use.
3. Platform rules
Use of the tool must comply with the terms of the platforms it connects to, including the TikTok Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. The tool uploads to TikTok as drafts only; the account owner reviews and publishes each post from the TikTok app.
4. No warranty
The tool is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Uploads may fail, be delayed, or be rejected by a platform. The operator is responsible for verifying that content was delivered and published as intended.
5. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any loss arising from use of the tool, including failed or unintended uploads.
6. Changes
These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one published on this page.
